Blue Badges

Blue badges are to help people who have a disability or hidden disability to make it easier for them to travel. Find out if you're eligible and apply or renew here.

Badges for organisations

Organisations concerned with the care of disabled people can apply for a Blue Badge for vehicles like minibuses or specially adapted vehicles if they:

  • care for and transport disabled people who would meet the eligibility criteria for an individual Blue Badge; and
  • have a clear need for an organisational badge rather than using the individual Blue Badges of people it transports.

When applying you need to provide:

  • The name of your organisation
  • An explanation of why your organisation needs a Blue Badge, rather than using individual ones
  • Details about the needs of the disabled people you support and transport
  • Any documents or photos that support your application

For example;

  • your V5C log book(s)
  • Disabled Passenger Vehicle taxation letter
  • Evidence the vehicle(s) has been modified or photos of the vehicle(s).

Upload a photo or scan of a document, which shows your organisation's current address, such as:

  • a business rates or vehicle insurance document dated within the last 12 months
  • a bill from a utility company  or government department dates within the last 12 months

The badge can be used in any of your organisation's vehicles while transporting eligible service users.
