Each year, the Mayor of Knowsley chooses a number of charities to support during their term of office. There are various fundraising opportunities throughout the year which helps raise money for the charities.
In 2026/27, the Mayor will be supporting:

MYA is a charity dedicated to providing innovative support and opportunity for young people across Merseyside. By placing children and young people at the centre of everything we do, we make every journey personal.

Knowsley Looked After Cohort
The Knowsley looked after cohort refers to children and young adults (up to age 25) who are or have been in the care of Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council. This diverse group requires targeted support to achieve health, education, and housing stability during and after their time in care.
Knowsley Dementia Care Support Memory Lane C.I.C

Memory Lane is a Community Interest Company providing support to those experiencing dementia and their families. Dementia sufferers and their families can take part in various classes including Tai-Chi, singing and ballroom dancing (and many more), each week. These settings offer a new dimension for those with dementia to share in social and enjoyable activities, and families can share their experiences, and hints and tips on how to best care for their loved ones.
St Nicholas’ Church (Halewood)
St Nicholas' Church was built as an Anglican church in 1839. It is located on Church Road, Halewood, in the North Ward of Halewood, the older ‘village’ area of the town.
St Nicholas’ has a traditional parish church building of locally quarried sandstone. The transepts and tower were added later in the nineteenth century.
Halewood Town Junior Football Club
A vibrant and inclusive footballing environment where children ages 4-11 years can discover their love for the game. At Halewood we believe in the power of football to nurture confidence, foster friendships and develop essential skills.
