The Mayor of Knowsley

Each year, the elected members of the council choose a mayor for the coming year. The Mayor represents Knowsley at public events and ceremonies as well as civic events in other towns, cities and countries.

2026 to 27: Rebecca Ming

Rebecca Ming, the Mayor’s granddaughter, will be the Mayoress for 2026/27.

Rebecca grew up in Halewood and attended Halewood Academy. She is now studying mechanical engineering at St Helens College, which she is enjoying, and is hoping to get an apprenticeship for September 2026.

Rebecca loves taking care of her pet Shorkie called Sonny. She is also currently taking driving lessons, and is studying for her theory test which she is hoping to take very soon.
