Inviting the Mayor to an event
To invite the Mayor of Knowsley to your event, please read the information below and on the ‘Guidance for Mayoral Events’ page, and provide as much information as possible on your invitation when completing this Microsoft Form.
Or email your invitation to mayors.office@knowsley.gov.uk with the following information:
- Name of organisation
- Name of person nominated to be the prime point of contact (first and last name)
- Address
- Telephone number(s)
- Email address
- Title of engagement
- Date of engagement
- Venue of engagement (including full address and postcode)
- Start and finish times of engagement
- What time would you like the Mayor to arrive?
- Does this invitation include the Mayoress?
- What are the Mayor’s duties at the event i.e. deliver a speech, make a presentation, process in, or anything else?
- Please provide background information on your organisation and details about the event.
- Is there any other information you would like us to know about at this stage?

Please note we require at least 7 working days’ notice for event invitations.
The Mayor’s Office, together with the Mayor, reviews and considers all invitations on a regular basis. We will let you know by email as soon as a decision has been made whether the Mayor can attend your event. Once approved, you will be sent a civic engagement form to complete and return so that we can share the finer details of the event with the Mayor.
The Lord Lieutenant of Merseyside
If you plan to invite the Lord Lieutenant to your event in Knowsley, the Mayor of Knowsley should also be invited. You can invite the Lord Lieutenant to your event by contacting their office. The details can be found online here.
