Reminder notice

If you do not pay an instalment on time, we will send you a reminder notice.

This will show:

• How much is overdue
• The date you must pay by (within 7 days) to keep paying by instalments.

If you do not pay the overdue amount or set up a payment arrangement within 7 days:

• You will lose the right to pay by instalments
• The full balance for the financial year will become due
• A Magistrate Court Summons will be issued, the £70 summons costs and an additional £25 if a Liability Order is granted are payable by you.

If you cannot pay the arrears within 7 days, you can set up a payment arrangement.

You will need:

• Your Council Tax reference; this can be found in the 'ACCOUNT NO.' box at the top of your bill or reminder notice.
• Your bank account details (if setting up a Direct Debit)
• The total balance outstanding (not just the missed instalment)

Any Payment Arrangement must be paid in full by 31 March. The number of instalments available depends on when you start your arrangement. The earlier you start, the more instalments may be available. The later you start, the fewer instalments will be available and the higher your payments will be.
