A final notice is issued if:
- You’ve already had two reminders, but your instalment payments have fallen behind again, or
- Your account has ended and there is still an outstanding balance.
At this stage:
- You must pay the full balance.
If you do not pay in full or set up a payment arrangement within 14 days, a court summons may be issued.
You can request a payment arrangement if you are unable to pay the full amount.
You will need:
- Your Council Tax reference; this can be found in the 'ACCOUNT NO.' box at the top of your bill or final notice notice.
- Your bank account details if setting up a direct debit
- The total balance outstanding as shown on your final notice.
