Who can apply?
We will consider applications from youth organisations operating in Knowsley that are:
Registered charities, constituted voluntary, community and faith organisations, not-for-profit, community interest companies, companies limited by guarantee, community benefit societies, charitable incorporated organisations, and community amateur sports clubs that have been operating for at least 12 months in Knowsley and have a good track record of delivery.
The Council is also keen to support newly established organisations which can demonstrate that they have strong governance structures in place.
We will also consider applications for individuals, provided that an organisation is able to act as a guarantor for the individual. Alternatively, individuals will be able to access this offer via Knowsley Family And Community Education (FACE). For example, Knowsley FACE (Family and Community Education) provides the following courses:
- Award in Mental Health Awareness L1
- Award in British Sign Language L1
- Certificate in British Sign Language L2
- Certificate in Counselling Skills L2
- Certificate in Psychology L2
- Children and Young People’s Mental Health L2
- Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties L2
Organisations can apply for funding towards Training/Qualifications courses that:
- Supports the workforce to achieve at least a Level 1-3 in a Youth Qualification; and/or
- Supports the workforce to achieve qualifications and Continued Professional Development focused on working with care-experienced young people; and/or
- Supports the workforce to achieve qualifications focused on working with young people (11-25) with SEND to promote inclusivity within youth provisions.
Organisations whose headquarters are not located in Knowsley can still apply providing they can demonstrate a strong history of delivering activity within Knowsley during last twelve months and with a commitment to continue delivery over the next 12 months.
Organisations /Individuals can apply for funding for more than one course per individual; however, an individual must complete the initial course fully before commencing any additional courses. This should be made by way of a separate application.
