In November 2017, the Council welcomed a small team for four days (put together by the Local Government Association) to give an independent view on the significant achievements delivered over the last three years and to advise on how well prepared for the future we are, based on our priorities to deal with the challenges we face.

Created in 2014, the Combined Authority consists of the six local councils (Knowsley, Halton, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral) working with the LEP and Merseytravel and other local services to improve the Liverpool City Region.
