How to renew your Blue Badge
We treat each renewal like a new application, to make sure we only issue Blue Badges to those who meet the criteria.
We recommend that you submit the application form up to twelve weeks before it expires. This allows time for the Centre for Independence assessment if you need one.
An assessment will not be needed if you automatically qualify for a blue badge, or you have previously been assessed by the Centre for Independent Living and your award letter states that the award has been made on an indefinite basis and you will not need a further assessment.
The earliest we can order your new badge is eight weeks before your current badge expires.
