Please note that Knowsley Council does not provide grants for school uniforms.

If you require assistance with school uniforms, we recommend the following.

  • Contact your school: Many schools have schemes in place to help families with the costs of uniforms or may be able to offer second hand uniforms.
  • Contact local community groups who may be able to support with funding.
  • Knowsley Council also offer a Crisis and Resilience fund which may help with general costs.
  • Local charity shops: Consider visiting local charity shops, which often have a selection of school uniforms at affordable prices.
  • Supermarkets: Many supermarkets offer generic school uniforms at reasonable prices. Please check the school uniform policy at your child's school before buying, in case generic items aren't allowed.
