We will consider funding projects that have previously been funded by the former Stronger Communities Fund, Winter Wellness Grant, Physical Activity Grant, Youth Community Fund and Short Breaks Programmes.
Registered charities, constituted voluntary, community and faith organisations, not-for-profit, community interest companies, companies limited by guarantee, community benefit societies, charitable incorporated organisations, and community amateur sports clubs and sports clubs affiliated to a national governing body for sport who have been operating for at least 12 months and have a good track record of delivery may apply.
The Council is also keen to support newly established organisations which can demonstrate that they have strong governance structures in place for this Knowsley Council has made the £2,000 application available for organisation less than 12 months old.
Organisations can apply for the following:-
A total of three applications in line with the below criteria will be accepted per organisation per year, i.e. one application for up to £2,000, one application for up to £5,000 and one application for up to £20,000.
One allocation of up to a maximum of £2,000. This level of grant is intended for new organisations. By ‘new’ we mean groups or organisations who have been running for less than twelve months or new project ideas which require a small allocation of “seed” funding to allow ideas to be tested.
One allocation of up to a maximum of £5,000. This level of grant is intended to help residents stay warm, safe and well over a five-month period during winter, specifically throughout the months November to March only.
Organisations can also apply for one allocation of up to a maximum of £20,000.
Any project exceeding £10,000 must demonstrate that it includes a minimum of 50% capital spend.
This level of grant is intended for established organisations wishing to sustain activity by expanding and or extending current activities and activities that support physical activity, sporting facilities and sporting equipment.
Applicants are encouraged to discuss their project ideas with a member of the Stronger Communities Team before applying.
Organisations whose headquarters are not located in Knowsley can still apply providing they can demonstrate a strong history of delivery activity within Knowsley during the last twelve months.
