Perinatal Mental Health and Wellbeing Survey privacy notice

Find out about the Perinatal Mental Health and Wellbeing Survey – Parent/Carer Survey privacy notice.

Why do you need my information?

We will use the information you choose to provide to help us understand the wellbeing, experiences, and support needs of parents and carers during pregnancy and after the birth of a baby.

The information collected through this survey will help us to:

  • Get a better understanding of the emotional wellbeing, mental health and experiences of parents and carers during the perinatal period (pregnancy and up to two years after birth).
  • Identify the types of support that parents and carers find helpful and any barriers they may face when accessing support.
  • Improve our understanding of the needs of families across Knowsley and how these needs may differ between communities.
  • Inform the planning, development, and improvement of local services and support available to parents, carers, babies, and families.
  • Support partnership working between Knowsley Council, health services, family hubs, voluntary and community organisations, and other partners working with families.
  • Improve outcomes for parents, carers, babies, and families by ensuring services are designed around the needs and experiences of local people.

Knowsley Council will collect and analyse the findings from completed surveys to understand the experiences of parents and carers across the borough. Findings will be reported in an anonymous and aggregated format so that individuals cannot be identified.

The information gathered may be used to support future service planning, commissioning, funding bids, needs assessments, and the development of local policies, pathways, and programmes relating to perinatal mental health, parental wellbeing, parent-infant relationships, and family support services.
