Why do you need my information?
The information you share with from your time working with teams in children’s services will be used to shape Children and Young People’s Department moving forwards.
What Personal Information do we collect?
You will not be asked to share any personal details and circumstances and you do not have to share any information you don’t want to.
You can stop the conversation at any time.
All names will be anonymised when conversations are transcribed.
What allows you to use my information?
The lawful bases which allows the Council to lawfully process your data fall under the UK General Data Protection Regulation.
Article 6(1) (a) Consent the individual has given clear consent for you to process their personal data for a specific purpose.
By choosing to participate, you give Knowsley Council consent to process the data you provide. As previously mentioned, this data will in the main be anonymous and due to this reason, it is unlikely you would be able to retract your contribution once entered.

Who will my information be shared with?
Headline information that you provide will be shared within the Families First project team within Children and Young People’s services.
Anonymised headline reports will also be shared with members of the executive management team as part of the process.
Do I have to provide this information and what will happen if I don’t?
No, participation is entirely voluntary and not a legal requirement. You can decide whether to participate or not, and you can decide how much or how little you wish to participate.
How long will you keep this data for and why?
Redacted transcripts of the telephone calls made will be stored for four years, after this time the information will be deleted.
How will my information be stored?
Your information will be stored in a secure SharePoint site only be accessible to authorised staff and will be stored electronically on a council secured server.
To access the SharePoint users will have to be added onto the platform and have a secure Knowsley Council username and password.
Will this information be used to take automated decisions about me?
No

What rights do I have when it comes to my data?
Under the Data Protection Act (DPA) 2018/ UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), you have the following rights with regards to your personal data:
- The right to subject access – you have the right to see a copy of the personal data that the council holds about you and find out what it is used for
- The right to rectification – you have the right to ask the council to correct or remove any inaccurate data that we hold about you
- The right to erasure (right to be forgotten) you have the right to ask the council to remove data that we hold about you
- The right to restriction – you have the right to ask for your information to be restricted (locked down) on council systems
- The right to data portability – you have the right to ask for your data to be transferred back to you or to a new provider at your request
- The right to object – you have the right to ask the council to stop using your personal data or to stop sending you marketing information, or complain about how your data is used
- The right to prevent automated decision making – you have the right to ask the council to stop using your data to make automated decisions about you or to stop profiling your behaviour (where applicable).
