Find out about the employee network promotional video privacy notice here.
Knowsley Council will own the data, but participants have the right to withdraw their data at any time.
This data will be used in an employee network campaign for Knowsley Council. We will be creating an interview-style video of people discussing what it is like to be a member of an employee network. This hopes to visually promote the networks with the sole aim of boosting membership. Videos that will be posted externally have the sole aim of showcasing Knowsley Council as a diverse and inclusive place to work. We also want to share with residents of Knowsley the amazing work that the groups do. Therefore, we will be collecting and publishing the following data:
We are going to collect:
Employees volunteer and consent to take part. They have the right to withdraw their consent at any time, and Knowsley Council will destroy their data.
The personal data of those who volunteer to take part in this campaign will be processed under Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR, which states that the individual has given consent to the processing of their personal data.
This data will be shared internally via the staff intranet (Bertha). It will also be used on Knowsley Council’s social media platforms. The videos will be promoted externally to show the public the projects the employee networks are involved in and promote Knowsley as a diverse and inclusive employer. These include:
Employees are volunteering this data and have the right to withdraw their consent or refuse to participate in this campaign.
If the person withdraws consent, any personal information or videos containing their images and associated personal data will be removed from the council’s internal intranet (Bertha) and social media feeds.
If you wish to withdraw consent, you can do this by contacting Organisational.DevlopmentTeam@knowsley.gov.uk.
The data will be kept initially for five years. Before the end of the two years, employees will be contacted to see if they are happy for their personal data to continue to be used as part of the campaign. If no response is received, the data will be deleted at the end of the five years. I will also delete content that becomes out of date.
The video will be uploaded to the council’s social media feeds, and then embedded into the new website – so in terms of where it’ll be stored, it’ll be publicly available on our new website, social media feeds until it is removed.
Please be aware that once the video is made available to our social media feeds this will be accessible via internet searches and, if copies are made of the video by internet users, it may remain accessible via the internet even after Knowsley Council have removed the video from our social media feeds.
