Bowring Park is the oldest public park in Knowsley and includes the first municipal golf course in England (established 1913). It was opened in 1907 and was a gift of Liverpool's first Lord Mayor William Benjamin Bowring (later first baronet) in 1906 of the Roby Hall Estate.
Bowring Park is leased and managed by One Day Ltd.

How to get there
Walking
Bowring Park’s main entrance is off Roby Road. There is both a vehicle and pedestrian entrance here.

Bike
If travelling along the Liverpool Loop Line, exit at Castletown Close, onto Baldwin Avenue then turn left onto Chelwood Avenue. Turn right onto Roby Road and continue to Bowring Park Interchange and take the 2nd exit onto Roby Road, where the entrance to Bowring Park is on the right.

Train
The nearest station is Roby Station which is around an 8-minute walk to Bowring Park. Alternatively, Huyton Station is around a 20-minute walk to Bowring Park. A train journey from Liverpool Lime Street to Roby Station takes around 30 minutes and 1 hour from Warrington West.
Bus
There are three bus stops along Roby Road within a 5-minute walk to the entrance of Bowring Park. The 3A, 6 and 61 buses stop here. Alternatively, the 79 bus stops at Childwall Valley Road which is a 28-minute walk to Bowring Park.

By car
If travelling from M62, exit at Junction 5 onto Roby Road (A5080). At the roundabout, take the 1st exit to stay on Roby Road. Turn right into Bowring Park main entrance, continue along the driveway where there is a free car parking and accessible bays.
