About Tower Hill Park

Tower Hill Park is one of Knowsley’s newest parks and was created following the completion of housing developments in the local area.

Covering an area of 16.6 hectares, the park is made up of undulating areas of open grassland providing space for general play and recreation.  This is complimented by the surrounding areas of tree planting and woodland. Significant work has been delivered to improve the health and wildlife value of these woodland areas to add biodiversity value to the park.

Thanks to its central position within the Tower Hill estate, the park connects surrounding communities with an extensive network of pathways. These routes provide access to key amenities such as the Moorfield shops, local primary schools, Tower Hill Boxing Club and the Tower Hill Community and Health Centre.  The park also links with the new Headbolt Lane train station.

A layout plan of the park can be viewed here.

Purpose of the Consultation: -

Why we need your views

The Council is keen to understand how local residents bordering Tower Hill Park, as well as the wider Kirkby and Knowsley community, would like to see the park developed to provide a better park for the north of the Borough.  It is essential that the proposals for the park are shaped by the local residents it is there to serve.

We want to understand initially your current use and views of the park, as well as the physical improvements and development of activities/events/services that the park should deliver in the future to meet the needs of the Kirkby community and surrounding areas.

This consultation is a starting point to explore the priorities that the Council should consider in shaping a Master Plan for the park
