If you are organising a burial, or burial following a cremation, there are a number of options available to you.
Your Funeral Director will be able to advise you on most matters including contacting relevant clergy, arranging a hearse and may be able to arrange the burial with us on your behalf.
Burials
Burials can be arranged at Knowsley Cemetery and Prescot Cemetery
All new burial graves will provide space for either one, two or three coffins and up to four cremated remains caskets. Costs will vary depending upon the size of grave selected.
If a family member already owns the Right of Burial but is now deceased, it is possible to apply to transfer ownership.
You can discuss your individual queries or requirements with the Bereavement Services team.
A range of memorials are available and cemetery staff will be able to advise you and provide costs.

Burials following cremation
Special areas for the burial of ashes are located at Fox’s Bank Lane Cemetery and Prescot Cemetery.
Each plot is allocated with a 99 year right of burial and will accept up to six sets of ashes. Arrangements can also be made to place a headstone on the plot.
To help the environment, we ask that remains are buried in a biodegradable container. Your funeral director or the cemetery office staff will be able to advise you.
