Knowsley Council is preparing a new Local Plan to guide how the borough will grow and change over the coming years. It will be prepared under the revised plan-making system introduced through the Levelling Up and Regeneration Act 2023 and the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning)(England) Regulations 2026.
The timetable is currently to be confirmed but it will set out the key stages, milestones and statutory requirements for preparing the new Local Plan. The timetable will be a live document and will be reviewed regularly and will be updated as the Local Plan progresses.
