The Local Authority (LA) is the admission authority of all community primary schools within the borough. The LA has recently undertaken a consultation in respect of its proposed school admission arrangements (including published admission number and oversubscription criteria) for the 2027/28 school year.
The public consultation was open for comment for the required six-week period from Tuesday 16 December 2025 to Wednesday 28 January 2026. The consultation period is now closed. Proposals will be reviewed, and any comments submitted during consultation considered.
The LA admission arrangements for 2027/28 will be determined by 28 February 2026 and published on this website by 15 March 2026.
Please note - The determined admission arrangements for own admission authority schools (i.e. faith schools and academies) will also be published on this site once available. Any queries in relation to the admission arrangements of these schools should be directed to the individual school governing body/ Academy Trust who are the admission authority.
