Getting in touch
The best way to get in touch with the council is by using the online services available. You can contact the council online 24/7, there are no queues and it’s free!
If you need access to a computer or wi-fi you can visit your local library where you can also use our scan stations to provide evidence for council tax, benefits and blue badges.
If you can’t find what you’re looking for online and wish to speak to someone on the phone, you can find the council’s key service contacts below. Lines are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9am to 5pm, and Wednesdays from 9am to 4pm. We are not open on bank holidays.
Remember, to avoid waiting on the phone, you can contact an advisor online between 9am and 5pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from 9am to 4pm on Wednesdays. We are not open on bank holidays.
For customers that require a face-to-face enquiry, an appointment can be made and you will be seen in a local library. Please call 0151 489 6000 and ask our advisors for more information.
