Apply to change a hackney vehicle

Once your test is booked and you have received your confirmation email, you should complete the vehicle application form immediately.

Please use your vehicle registration as the application reference when submitting the form.

To collect your plate on the day of your test, the application must be done before 2 working days before the test.

If you have obtained an external MOT, please use your vehicle registration as the application reference when submitting the renewal form.

If you choose to go externally for the MOT and submit the application, we will aim to process your application within 10 working days.

When completing this form, you must:

• Upload valid appropriate Private Hire and Reward Insurance for the vehicle.
• Upload the V5C Vehicle Registration Document (pages 1 and 2) or formal bill of sale.
• (If required) Upload a valid DVSA MOT Test Certificate, dated within the last 28 days, from a Knowsley based Testing Station.
• Pay the required fee.
