What is Transitional Relief?
Transitional relief helps limit how much your business rates can increase following a revaluation.
- The rateable value of non-domestic properties is usually reassessed every three years.
- If your property’s rateable value increases significantly after a revaluation, your business rates will rise gradually, not all at once.
We apply this relief automatically and adjust your bill.
If you qualify, you’ll see the reduction on the front of your business rates bill.
