Textile recycling
There are several recycling bring bank sites across Knowsley Borough where residents can drop off clean clothing, paired footwear, bed linen, towels and household textiles.
Residents can now book a free doorstep textile collection service. Collections take place every Thursday. You must book by 12pm on the Wednesday before your collection to guarantee the following day Thursday collection.
You can book a collection, check whether your postcode is eligible and find out which items can be collected by visiting the Collect My Clothes booking page.
Once collected, all textiles are transported to the Roberts Recycling sorting facility in Halebank, Widnes, where they are graded for reuse and recycling. Items suitable for reuse are sent to trusted partners to be given a second life, while worn or damaged materials are repurposed into new products such as industrial rags or insulation.
