Required Qualifications and Experience  

  • An undergraduate degree in Psychology from a BPS-accredited course or an appropriate BPS-accredited psychology conversion course or a psychology Masters degree.
  • At least one year’s full-time experience working with children, young people within an education, health, social care, youth justice, childcare or community setting.

Assistant Educational Psychologists

Our Assistant Educational Psychologists are an integral part of the team and gain exciting opportunities and valuable experience working at Knowsley EPS. You will have the chance to work alongside our core team of Educational Psychologists to develop a comprehensive understanding of the role. Additionally, you will have opportunities to collaborate with wider Children’s Services such as, the Early Years Service, Virtual School, and SEND Service.

Qualifications and Experience required:

  • A BPS-accredited degree in Psychology.
  • Experience working with children and young people.

Trainee Educational Psychologists

We have a number of Trainee Educational Psychologist (TEP) placements available at Knowsley EPS, including opportunities for Year 1, 2, and 3 trainees. We are committed to providing high-quality training that nurtures your growth and development. Our approach focuses on creating personalised learning opportunities tailored to your individual needs, helping you to build the skills and confidence required to succeed in your career.

Associate Educational Psychologist

We also work closely with a team of Associate Educational Psychologists who are qualified EPs registered with HCPC. They support our statutory work to support effective and timely assessment as part of the EHC Needs Assessment processes.
