There are 6,450 places across all Knowsley secondary schools and as the borough continues to grow, the Council continues to monitor capacity to ensure young people can access place at a local secondary school.

The Council closely supports School Leadership teams, Trusts, Governing Bodies and other partners to ensure local young people benefit from the very best possible educational experience in Knowsley. This includes providing support and challenge to schools including identifying if they need support from the Education Improvement Team.  Schools are also supported on a wide range of issues including attendance, admissions, the curriculum, Ofsted inspection, complaints, training and elective home education

Help with travel costs

Depending on your circumstances, you may be able to get help meeting the cost of your child travelling to school. You can find out more here and apply for a free bus pass online.
