Knowsley Security Team

The Knowsley Security Team is an invaluable part of the council’s efforts to improve community safety in the borough.

The team monitor Knowsley’s extensive CCTV network (over 1,000 cameras), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can respond rapidly to calls for service from the Police or members of the public.

Through their proactive work they have successfully assisted Merseyside Police in apprehending criminals and providing evidence to assist in prosecutions.

The team also monitor and respond to intruder and fire alarms across more than 100 schools and council buildings, provide patrols as required and are a key part of the council’s Emergency Duty team who manage calls out of hours.
