Knowsley’s Green Space Rangers and parks’ ‘Friends’ groups organise a variety of fun activities and events suitable for the whole family.

Regular Cycling Sessions with Pedal Away

Pedal Away is a community-based cycling scheme that enables people to ride regardless of their age, ability or cycling experience.

Bikes and helmets are available at all hubs. You can access trained ride leaders on risk-assessed routes in your local community for a suggested donation of just £2

Booking is essential for all activities until further notice.

Mondays: 6pm to 7pm (Spring/summer)

Wednesdays: 10am to 11am (March to October)

Pedal Away Improvers - evening cycle rides

Court Hey Park, Huyton

Thursdays: 6pm - 7.45pm (Spring/Summer)

Westvale Community Centre, Kirkby

Wednesdays: 6 - 7.45pm (spring/summer)

Pedal Away Advanced Rides 

Court Hey Park, Huyton

Tuesdays: 10am to 1pm

Cycle along Liverpool Loop Line and onto the lanes to the likes of Hale Village and Croxteth Park.

Westvale Community Centre, Kirkby

Thursdays: 10am start 

Group rides on canal towpaths, lanes and quiet roads to Ormskirk, Rainford and Crosby.  

Pedal Away 0-30 miles in 12 weeks 

Progressive rides aimed at beginners, those getting back in the saddle and those wanting to ride socially in a group to gain confidence on roads and junctions.

Cycle 12 to 20 miles on country lanes, canals and greenways to Ormskirk, Rainford and Sefton Meadows

Third Sunday of the month, 10am (October – March)

Enjoy the Liverpool Loop Line as we head out onto country lanes and cycle paths to The Dream, Ferry Tavern and more.
