Who will own my data once I submit it?

Why do you need my information?

We need your information so that we know who has attended the Webinar and so that we can send you a certificate. 

We also want to monitor how many people have attended the event and what organisations they are from.

What allows you to use my information?

Your registration or attendance at the webinar allows us to use your information.

Who will my information be shared with?

Your information will be shared with Knowsley Council and Liverpool Council for you to attend the webinar and receive a certificate.  We will also monitor the number of people that have attended the webinars and the different organisations that have attended for our recording and reporting purposes.

The information may be shared with your employer. Personal names and email addresses will not be used for any other purpose unless it is lawful to do so.

Do I have to provide this information and what will happen if I don’t?

If you do not provide your information, you will not be able to register for the training. You therefore have the choice as to whether you want to provide your information to participate in the webinar.

How long will you keep this data for?

Your data will be retained for a maximum of 6 months from the date of the webinar when it will then be destroyed.

How will my information be stored?

Your information will be stored electronically on a council secured server.  This will prevent any unauthorised/unlawful processing.  It will also prevent accidental loss, destruction or damage from a technical and operational perspective as IT have backup systems in the case of such eventualities.

Will this information be used to take automated decisions about me?

No

Will my data be transferred abroad?

No

What rights do I have when it comes to my data?

The General Data Protection Regulation provides a number of rights regarding how your personal data is processed: 

  • The right to subject access – you have the right to see a copy of the personal data that the Council holds about you and find out what it is used for.
  • The right to rectification – you have the right to ask the Council to correct or remove any inaccurate data that we hold about you.
  • The right to erasure (right to be forgotten) you have the right to ask the Council to remove data that we hold about you.
  • The right to restriction – you have the right to ask for your information to be restricted (locked down) on Council systems
  • The right to data portability – you have the right to ask for your data to be transferred back to you or to a new provider at your request.
  • The right to object – you have the right to ask the Council to stop using your personal data or to stop sending you marketing information, or complain about how your data is used.
  • The right to prevent automated decision making – you have the right to ask the Council to stop using your data to make automated decisions about you or to stop profiling your behaviour. (where applicable)
