Discover Knowsley's libraries

There are five libraries in Knowsley - at Halewood, Huyton, Kirkby, Prescot and Stockbridge Village. There is also a home library service delivering at sites across the Borough, and a dedicated school library service.

Whatever your reason for visiting, for information, learning or leisure, you will find our libraries interesting. Anybody can become a library member at any age, and joining is free.

The shelves are bursting with great new fiction and top titles, and we look forward to welcoming you to browse and borrow them. You can also use the computers by appointment to guarantee your spot or on a drop-in basis, subject to availability.

All of our libraries offer a broad selection of stock and free computer use. Our libraries also host regular events and formal or informal courses for all ages.

These include:

  • Words and pictures - story and play sessions for preschool children
  • After-school and holiday activities for children
  • Reading groups
  • Adult learning sessions
  • Family History Help Desk
  • Craft Sessions for adults

And much more.

Contact your local library to find out what’s available or access the Libraries website for more information.
