Knowsley Community Safety Partnership

Here in Knowsley a range of organisations and agencies are committed to working together to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour and keep our communities safe.

Overseeing this work is the Knowsley Community Safety Partnership – a statutory partnership, bringing together the key agencies involved in crime prevention and community safety. The aim of the partnership is to ensure that everyone who lives, works in or visits Knowsley will feel and is safe.

The Knowsley Community Safety Partnership includes representatives from:

The key priorities identified in the Community Safety Partnership Strategic Plan 2022-2025 are:-

  • Support and partners are working together to support vulnerable and repeat victims
  • Addressing the exploitation of children – working together to raise awareness around the signs of child exploitation, how to share information and effectively target those responsible in order to safeguard children
  • Tackling Domestic Abuse – working together to support victims and children, identifying those responsible at an early stage to reduce the risk of further incidents
  • Tackling serious and organised crime – collating intelligence across all agencies, including CCTV evidence
  • Addressing anti-social behaviour – engaging with residents to ensure incidents are reported, identifying those responsible and taking appropriate action, including communities being part of the resolution process
  • Supporting offenders to change their behaviours – working together with partners and offenders to effectively change their behaviour and prevent re-offending

The Partnership takes a co-ordinated and proactive approach to tackling all aspects of crime and anti-social behaviour in Knowsley. This includes regular community walkabouts and engagement with residents to ensure partnership resources are tackling the issues that matter to our communities.

Through working closely with the community and sharing information across agencies, the Partnership can reduce crime and disorder, identify and prosecute criminals and provide essential reassurance to residents.
