The council and its partners are committed to working with local businesses and wherever possible provide opportunities for contracts to be placed with suppliers located within the region.

Opportunities for local suppliers

The Business Growth team work closely with partners to bring opportunities to Knowsley businesses. Often, the team will organise Meet the Buyer events and highlight opportunities to relevant businesses. Such events are arranged to support major projects in the Borough and can be tailored to a specific sector or across a number of sectors. The Business Growth team will promote the Meet the Buyer events through the regular business newsletter as and when they are arranged.

The team also seek out external and internal tender and small works opportunities and send tender alerts to relevant sectors, depending on the nature of the project or opportunity via emails. To register for this free service contact business@knowsley.gov.uk.
