Adult education and community classes

English for Speakers of Other languages (ESOL)

If ESOL classes are required they will be arranged by your Job Centre work coach. Additional ESOL classes are also run in the local community by Knowsley Family And Community Education team (FACE).  Guests can attend these sessions before more formal classes are put in place by the Job Centre.

Local colleges such as Knowsley Community College or Liverpool City College also run ESOL classes.  Courses usually begin in September, and more information can be found on the individual college websites:

Knowsley FACE English classes take place at various locations across the borough, find out more here.

Local community classes

You may be interested in joining community classes to enable you to meet people in your local community and learn new skills. Classes run by Knowsley FACE include a wide range of subjects such as maths, dressmaking, floristry and IT skills. You can see the full list of courses on the Knowsley FACE website
