The Boiler Winter Ready Scheme provides assistance with boiler and heating servicing and repairs for eligible owner-occupiers in Knowsley. This scheme, funded by Knowsley Council's Strategic Housing Team, is available to vulnerable households with an eligible income-related benefit or a combined household income below £31,000.
The scheme aims to ensure that households have their boiler/heating systems serviced and ready for the winter months.
Eligibility criteria
To qualify for the scheme, you must be an owner-occupier living in Knowsley and receive one or more of the following benefits:
- Guaranteed Pension Credit
- Employment Support Allowance
- Universal Credit
- Working Tax Credit
- Child Tax Credit
- Council Tax Reduction
Alternatively, your household income must be less than £31,000. Please provide up-to-date evidence to verify your income.

The scheme covers the following services:
- Boiler/heating servicing
- Boiler/heating repairs and enhancements (up to £500)
- Radiator replacements (up to £700)
- Temporary emergency heating
