Families moving into the area
If you are moving to Knowsley and want to apply for a school place for your child, please do so at least four to six weeks in advance of your move. This will give us enough time to process your application. This is especially important if your child cannot continue to attend their current school due to the distance.
Please check with the school or Knowsley School Admissions to see if there are any school places available. Some schools may be full in some year groups and will not be able to offer a place for your child. There is no guarantee that siblings will be placed in the same school.
If you have moved to Knowsley and your child does not have a school place, please contact the admissions team so that we can record your child's details for monitoring purposes.
Please note
- If your child has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and you are considering requesting a school transfer, please contact your local authority SEN officer before making any request for transfer.
- The local authority will not normally pay for additional transport or uniform costs associated with an in-year transfer.
- In-year applications are not processed during school holiday periods.
