The Local Authority has recently undertaken a consultation regarding proposed admission arrangements for the 2025/26 school year.
The consultation was in respect of the locally agreed admission arrangements (including published admission number and oversubscription criteria) for community primary schools and those primary and secondary academy schools that are adopting the local arrangements/policy for admission to nursery classes, reception classes and transfer to secondary education (year 7 classes).
The public consultation was open for comment for six weeks from Thursday, 14 December 2023, to Friday, 26 January 2024. The consultation period is now closed. Proposals will be reviewed, and any comments submitted during the consultation will be considered.
The admission arrangements for 2025/26 will be determined by 28 February 2024 and made available on this website by 15 March 2024.
The determined admission arrangements for own admission authority faith schools and those academies who do not adopt the LA arrangements will also be published on this site. Any queries concerning the admission arrangements of these schools should be directed to the individual school governing body/ Academy Trust, which is the admission authority.
