Moving house is already a stressful time, but please do not forget to inform the council of your change of address no more than 14 days before or after you have moved; it could affect things like Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support or any other support you require.
It has never been easier to tell us that you are moving house – you can do this all online.
Before starting, check if your property is within the Knowsley Council area. If your address is not listed as you are moving into a newly built property, the developer will be able to advise you.
The amount you pay is calculated according to the banding of your property based on the market value on 1st April 1991. Bands are set by the Valuation Office Agency (VOA).
You can check the amount payable for your Council Tax band for your new address. Please note if you are moving into a newly built property, your address may not have a property banding as this needs to be decided by the Valuation Office.
