School Admission Arrangements 2024/25

The local authority is currently considering the admission arrangements for pupils entering nursery classes, reception classes and Year 7 of community primary schools and those primary and secondary academies in the borough who are adopting the local authority admission arrangements for entry in 2024/25.

Consultation on the proposed arrangements and admission numbers will open on Monday 19 December 2022 for the required six week period and closes on Tuesday 31 January 2023.
On this website you will find the following local authority consultation documents in relation to community primary schools and those primary and secondary academies who are adopting the local authority admission arrangements. Parents/carers of school-age children and relevant pre-schoolers and community groups who may have an interest are invited to submit their views on the proposals.

Voluntary aided schools/academies and academy schools not adopting the LA policy are responsible for determining their own individual admission policies, these should be available on the individual school/academy website and by request from the individual school.
Also available to view on this webpage are the formulated Knowsley coordinated admission schemes for the annual allocation of reception class places and transfer from primary to secondary school for 2024/25.  These schemes give the practical arrangements of the admissions process and are followed by all schools and academies in the Knowsley authority area.

Hard copies of the consultation documents or copies in other formats are available by request to [email protected]
