Printmaking day with Anthony Ratcliffe 

Join Anthony Ratcliffe at Kirkby Gallery for a one-day printmaking workshop where you will learn how to make a woodcut and produce a mounted print to take home - ideal for beginners as well as those with some experience.

Anthony is a full-time printmaker after many years of lecturing at Manchester School of Art and is a member of Manchester Academy of Fine Arts, and Leeds Fine Artists. He has prints in many public and private collections including The British Council, the Parliamentary Art Collection, Manchester Airport PLC, Manchester Royal Infirmary and MMU Special Collections.

The sessions take place from 10am to 3.30pm with a half an hour break - you are welcome to bring a packed lunch.

The cost for the day is £30 which includes all materials you use.

The Little Big Art Club

Are you looking for something to keep your creative children busy? Kirkby Gallery's Little Big Art Club is ideal for young people aged six to 13 to try new and exciting art techniques, have fun, and make new friends.

Drawing and painting - 26 October 2019  to 11 January 2020
Creative writing - 18 January to 21 March 2020
Drawing and painting - 28 March to 30 May 2020
Printmaking - 6 June to 8 August 2020
Drawing and painting - 15 August to 17 October 2020

All courses are £50 and includes all art materials needed as well as a special gift!
You can also book all six courses for £250 which can be paid in instalments. 

If you book any one of these courses, you can attend the three week introduction course 'Introduction to drawing and painting' for free, thanks to funding from Friends of Kirkby Gallery and Prescot Museum. This takes place from 27 July to 10 August 2019.
