Not only does the borough have fantastic parks and paths for cycling, the council has teamed up with a range of partners, including British Cycling, to provide a range of programmes for all ages and abilities. So whether you are a complete novice or an experienced cyclist, Knowsley has something for everyone!

Pedal Away
Pedal Away offers you the opportunity to participate in a new and exciting cycle ride project that is available across the borough of Knowsley.
The cycle rides are aimed at adults who are looking to introduce cycling as a new activity although children and young people are welcome as long as they are supervised by a responsible adult.
All of the rides will be delivered by qualified members of staff who are there to ensure your ride is as safe and enjoyable as possible.
Pedal Away can also loan you a bike and cycle helmet for the duration of each cycle ride subject to booking and availability.

Stadt Moers Park
Stadt Moers Park in Whiston is fast earning a reputation as a leading venue for top flight cycling competitions. Last year, hundreds of cyclists converged on the park to compete in local and regional races, including the North Western Cyclo Cross Championship.
Knowsley Velodrome and BMX Park
Knowsley Leisure & Culture Park boasts an outdoor velodrome with the BMX track located in the centre – only seen once before in Europe. It offers fantastic cycling facilities for everyone to enjoy – from complete novices to experienced riders. Find out more.
