One of Knowsley’s 18 Green Flag parks could be named the nation’s favourite in a national poll.

Voting in the annual People's Choice Award, managed by Keep Britain Tidy, is now open - giving the public the power to decide which one of the nation’s 1,582 Green Flag parks and green spaces should be named park of the year in the online poll.

There’s still time to cast your vote, with the poll closing at noon on 30 September. The winner of the People’s Choice will be announced in October.

To vote, simply go to www.greenflagaward.org, select your country or region on the interactive map, find your favourite park or green space and click the 'vote for this site' button.

Knowsley’s Green Flag parks are at Prescot and St Mary’s Churchyard, Eaton Street, Prescot, The Pasture in Cronton; Littlewoods of Stockbridge Village, Jubilee Park, McGoldrick Park, Sawpit Park, King George V Playing Fields, Ten Acre Pits and Court Hey Park in Huyton, as well as St Chad’s Gardens, Webster Park and Millbrook Park Millennium Green and Acornfield Plantation in Kirkby; Court Farm Woods, Halewood, Halewood Park and Henley Park, Whiston. The impressive gardens at Fox’s Bank Cemetery in Whiston have also earned the graveyard Green Flag status.
