New season at KLCP

Published on: Thursday, 05-February-2015

A colourful programme of theatre, music, sport and children’s entertainment are on offer as Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park kicks off 2015.

The curtains open with Milkshake! Live delighting young audiences during February half term.

The all-singing, all-dancing show features all your favourite children’s TV characters from the Channel 5 Milkshake show, with presenters Derek and Olivia hosting the fun.

Younger children will be enthralled to see favourites including Little Princess, Bananas in Pyjamas, Pip from Pip Ahoy, Noddy and Tessie Bear and, of course, Milkshake Monkey, live on stage.

Choose from the 1.30pm or 4pm shows on Friday, February 20. Tickets cost £12 for adults, £10 for children or £40 for a family ticket (two adults, two children).

There is more family entertainment on Friday, March 13, with classic Wind in the Willows being performed at the venue.

Presented jointly by the award-winning Immersion Theatre and critically acclaimed Cambridge Touring Theatre, this will be a spectacular musical adaptation of a much loved tale.

Join the boat-loving Ratty, the sensible yet curious Mole, wise old Badger and the fantastically impressible Toad as they embark on the adventure of a lifetime – culminating in a colourful battle with a pair of pick-pocketing weasels to save Toad Hall!

Tickets are priced £12 for adults, £10 for children, with a family ticket (two adults, two children) available for £40.

Then on Sunday, March 14, the American Wrestling Show superslams back into Knowsley after an incredibly popular performance at the venue last year.

Aimed at all the family, this action-packed show is two hours of non-stop, high adrenaline entertainment, guaranteed to have audiences up in their seats, cheering on the ‘goodies’ and booing the ‘baddies’!

Tickets are £10 for adults, £8 for children, or £34 for a family ticket (two adults, two children).  Bring a big group, and you’ll get one ticket free for every 10 you buy.

And in April, it’s panto season again!

Following the incredible success of KLCP’s Christmas panto, Cinderella, comes Peter Pan to inject some swashbuckling slapstick fun into the Easter holidays.

Starring X Factor’s Chris Maloney, Emmerdale’s Kurtis Stacey and Britain’s Got Talent’s Steven Hall, you can catch the panto on Friday April 17 at 7.30pm and again on Sunday, April 18, at 2pm and 7.30pm.

Tickets are £10 for adults, £8 for children and concessions.
