Ideas to welcome The Tour of Britain

Published on: Monday, 11-August-2014

With cycling fever gripping the nation, Knowsley has its own reason to celebrate as it prepares to welcome back The Tour of Britain for the third consecutive year.

Over 100 of the world’s top cyclists will depart from Knowsley Safari at 10.15am on Monday, 8 September and travel through parts of the borough, including Prescot and Huyton town centres.

As well as catching the start at the Safari Park, there are lots of opportunities to see the cyclists along the route. Knowsley Council are working with community groups, residents and school children to help welcome The Tour, including producing bunting and materials to support the various team colours.
