Event to raise awareness of domestic abuse and its impact on families

Published on: Friday, 19-February-2016

On Tuesday, 23 February, representatives from the council’s safer communities team and public health will be on-hand to raise awareness of a new anti-domestic abuse campaign

The ‘Be a lover not a fighter’ campaign has been developed by Public Health in Cheshire, Merseyside and Lancashire and aims to encourage people to talk about domestic abuse and importantly, what they should do if someone is experiencing domestic abuse.
Staff will be available between 10am to 3pm at the entrance to Kirkby Market to raise awareness of the campaign and where to access support.  Further information about the campaign is also available at www.lovernotfighter.org.uk
