This is the first of eight regional BMX race events to be held at tracks throughout the North of England in 2015, leading to the British Championships, and North Region Championships at the end of the Summer.

Racing starts at 12:00 and riders can register on the day between 9am and 10am.  Advance registration is available on
Then on Saturday 9 May, the National Youth Track Omnium kicks off with the Knowsley heat, before moving to Manchester and Scunthorpe to complete the series.  This is the third time Knowsley Velodrome and BMX Park has hosted the event which is open to boys and girls aged 8 - 16 yrs and promises to be as popular as ever.

Races will take place on the velodrome track from 9.00 am, with each rider taking part in a number of races during the day, covering different track disciplines including time trials and mass-start events. Points will be awarded for each race and the most successful riders from each of the regions will go through to the final at Wolverhampton later in the year. Riders must pre register at and hold a full racing license.

It’s free of charge to come along and support both of these fantastic events and refreshments are available at a small cost.

Knowsley BMX Club sessions run every Tuesday 6pm to 8.30pm, Junior Coaching Tuesday 5pm to 6pm and Saturday 11am to 12 noon.  The Club session is open to everyone, provided you can ride a bike safely and understand basic rules of the track.  You don't need to be a club member and bike hire is available.

The Friday night track league starts on Friday 1 May and is open to riders of all ages and abilities.  Sessions run from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm.  Riders can enter on the night and can hire bikes at the track for a small fee if they don't have their own. There’s plenty of free parking and changing rooms are available.

All of this is in addition to our regular programme including junior coaching and open access sessions for all ages and abilities.
