Key responsibilities for the role:

  • Must be able to complete an apprenticeship framework in Engineering Operative
  • This role is going to consist of maintaining the condition of plant hire equipment which will involve servicing machines that are electrical, diesel, petrol. You will need to diagnose the fault then identify what parts are needed. You will be ordering parts with our suppliers. As well as plant hire equipment we also repair and service customers machinery and that will be the same process are the hire fleet. The type of machines that will you will be working on are;
  • Generators, stihl saws, breakers grinders drills reciprocating saws etc.
  • Keep a clean, tidy and organised workspace

Key skills to be successful in your application:

  • Qualifications required/predicted Grade 4/C minimum in Maths and English
  • Must be reliable
  • Have excellent time keeping
  • Good communication skills
  • A keen interest in how tools work and are repaired

Contracted Hours: 40
Hourly rate of pay: National Minimum Wage
