Company overview:

"Merseyside Scaffolding is the longest trading scaffolding company in Merseyside and one of the longest in the North West.
We are based on Kirkby Industrial Estate and are looking to fill two apprenticeship positions from applicants from the borough.
Full CISRS Advanced Scaffolding Training will be the aim for the successful applicants who are willing to demonstrate a willingness to work and learn.
This process would take the successful applicant three years to complete, provided that they can fulfil the companies requirements for the roles.

Please note, if you cannot meet the criteria below on a consistent basis then do not apply for the roles.
The successful applicants will start on a 30 day trial period during which they will be assessed for their suitability after which they would enter our scheme.

National Minimum wage for age will apply to the roles and expenses to sites for the first two years service and until Basic Scaffolder Level is reached. "

Key responsibilities for the role:

  • Must be able to complete an apprenticeship framework in scaffolding
  • Must be able to read and write and be able to follow basic instructions
  • Must be willing to work outdoors and all weathers
  • Must be physically fit for a physically demanding trades requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old and from the Knowsley area
  • Must be a good time-keeper and be prepared to work overtime
  • Must be prepared above all to learn and absorb practical lessons in a basic but ultimately well paid trade

Key skills to be successful in your application:

  • GCSE Pass in English and Maths
  • Drivers licence preferred

Location: Kirkby                                          
Contracted hours: Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4.30pm, Friday 8am to 3.30pm + overtime at x 1.5 and x 2 rates                           
Hourly rate of pay: National Minimum Wage for age group + expenses to and from sites from Yard

Top tips for filling in the application form:
