"The Dance Shop is an independent dance, gymnastics and leisurewear store based in Prescot Town Centre. Established in 2015, The Dance Shop serves both local, national and international dancers and gymnasts.
We sell in-store, online and via pop up shops at dance exhibitions, festivals and competitions.
We are looking for someone to join our team in our store in Prescot, and assist and support with the online aspect of the business including our social media and website. 
The Dance Shop team is Cathryn, Mel, Angela along with a host of brand ambassadors!"

Key responsibilities for the role:

  • Must be able to complete an apprenticeship framework in Customer Service
  • Greeting visitors to the shop
  • Responding to customers enquiries
  • Giving advice and guidance on production selection to customers
  • Being responsible for processing cash and card payments
  • Keeping the shop tidy and clean, this includes hoovering and mopping
  • Assisting in stock control including inputting of items on EPOS system, preparing labels
  • Assisting in promotion of business via various social medial platforms
  • Processing website orders

Key skills to be successful in your application are:

  • Qualifications required/predicted at Grade 4 or above in English Language and Maths
  • Having a friendly and engaging personality
  • Comfortable working with members of the public
  • Should have a confident manner
  • Must be helpful and polite
  • Should be physically fit as can be on your feet for large parts of the day and may be required to assist in moving large packages of stock
  • Able to work as part of a sales team
  • Should be of a smart appearance and articulate
  • Knowledge of using social media platforms ie Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
  • Organised and able to work to deadlines

Location: The Dance Shop, 69-71 Eccleston Street, L34 5QH
Contracted Hours: 30 hours per week TBA
Hourly rate of pay: National Minimum Wage

Top tips for filling in the application form:
