An Early years Apprentice should have a passion for early years education and be committed key workers whose focus is on being with the children and delivering the highest standards of care.
Key responsibilities for the role:
- To ensure the highest standards of early years care and education of the children in your room
- To assist with the maintenance of an organized, safe and stimulating room environment
- To strive consistently for best practice in accordance with Company policies
- To be a key worker responsible for a specific group of children
- Continually develop a sound knowledge of the setting, policies and procedures
- Follow guidance from supervisor to ensure operational compliance to the EYFS and other regulatory frameworks.
- Maintain expected high standards of hygiene, safety and organisation within the room
- Actively participate in the planning and setting up of activities that reflect the children’s needs and interests
- Engage in communication and language with all children giving them opportunities to experience a rich language environment, boost the language skills of all children particularly those at risk of language delay
- Complete any designated records accurately and according to deadlines
- Carry out meaningful and accurate observations on key children and complete associated reports
- Communicate in a professional manner with parents, giving them regular feedback
- Ensure close supervision of the children at all times
- Respect the settings resources and take pride in the environment
- Promote positive links through daily interactions with parents and carers

Location: Halewood
Contracted hours: 30 – 40 hours per week
Hourly rate of pay: NMW for age
