Knowsley Public Health team is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the team. Public Health is a statutory service in the council which is responsible for health improvement, health protection, health care quality and influencing the wider determinants of health to improve outcomes for Knowsley residents.
 
This role supports the core public health team to effectively deliver its functions around influencing the wider determinants of health and reducing health inequalities.  This will require working across different parts of the council, partners and the community to embed health considerations into policies, strategies and practice. It also includes developing and contributing to programmes to promote emotional wellbeing and mental health across all ages. 

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in a similar role within a public health, health or social care context.  You will need to have experience of the implementation of projects and policy/strategy to influence others.  Furthermore, you need to have excellent communication skills as well as demonstrable ability to establish effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
