Teaching Assistant Required

(one post, 25 hours per week in total, with two separate contracts)
Level 4 - Pay Grade H / SCP 23-25 / £26,999 to £28,785 pro rata, per annum
(Actual Salary: £6,634 to £7,073 / 10 hours per week / 46 weeks per year)
Level 2 - Pay Band D / SCP 5 – 6, £18,795 to £19,171 per annum pro rata, per annum
(Actual Salary: £6,928 to £7,066 / 15 hours per week / 46 weeks per year)

The Governing Body of St Anne’s Catholic Primary School wish to appoint a suitably experienced Teaching Assistant as soon as possible. We are looking for somebody who is enthusiastic, dedicated and forward thinking to join our friendly and motivated team.
Candidates should:

  • Have a relevant qualification level 4 or above;

  • be highly committed, enthusiastic, patient and show great initiative;

  • be highly organised with high expectations of achievement, attainment and behaviour from all pupils;

  • be able to inspire, motivate and foster excellent professional relationships, working in partnership with pupils, staff, parents, governors and our wider community;

  • have good inter-personal skills, a sense of humour and the ability to work as part of a hard-working, enthusiastic and committed team;

  • be able to manage a team of Teaching Assistants, providing guidance and support;

  • have experience across the Primary phase, able to plan and deliver lessons across

Key Stages 1 and 2, working closely with the Class Teachers following plans and targets;

  • be able to act as Cover Supervisor in the absence of the Class Teacher;

  • have strong ICT skills;

  • be committed to their own professional development and be keen to make a significant contribution to the life of our school
